Where do you find the sacred in your life?

Posted on Jan 7th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 07, 2009:

The sacred is in every part of my life. We mistakenly separate the sacred from the secular. Yet we are one whole being, a mix of sacred and secular, light and shadows, love and fears. The trick is knowing how to use all the parts of our wholeness to be peace in the world.

What is going right in your life right now?

Posted on Jan 8th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 08, 2009:

It would be so easy to list all of the things that are going wrong. But what will that accomplish? Nothing!

I am so happy and grateful that I am in a peaceful state of mind, a right and sound mind, that I have the awesome ability to think, plan, create, and dream. I have an active imagination which I keep in tip top shape.

And I have my voice ~ to speak out on issues of injustice to bring about peace, love and joy to those who are weary, lonely and sad. This is indeed a great gift.

When do you take time to reflect on your day?

Posted on Jan 9th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 09, 2009:

I make sure I take my reflection time, both in the morning to greet my day; then in the evening, to assess my day. I plan my Action List the evening before, reading it right before sleep. And I write out my daily gratitudes. So my sleep is in a state of peaceful rest.

In the morning, I review my Action List, which has been planted in my subconscious the night before, making it so much easier to accomplish. I also visualize how I desire the day to be. Being a spiritual-preneur takes mindful reflection each and every day.

Posted on Jan 11th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 11, 2009:

Pain is inevitable; but suffering is optional. Suffering is a choice. Though I am in a great deal of physical pain, I do not choose to suffer on top of it.

Posted on Jan 12th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 12, 2009:

I wouldn't practice another religion, as I am satisfied with the one I belong to. Yet, I do love other spiritual practices and would love learning any new practices that would make me a better Carolyn and deepen my relationship with my God. I am more about relationships than religion.

How could your life be more balanced?

Posted on Jan 16th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 16, 2009:

My life could be more balanced with more "me" time ~ time for me to just "be" instead of doing all of the time. I am one of the few people I know who enjoys her own company more than the company of others. I prefer the silence to mindless chatter.

What do you have the hardest time accepting?

Posted on Jan 17th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 17, 2009:

I have the hardest time accepting that we women especially, don't know who we truly are; that we are divine beings infleshed for a uniquely divine purpose. What I do about it is called Spirit Women ~ equipping, empowering and encouraging women and girls to be all they were created to be. Not just stopping at what their circumstances or society dictates to them.

When were you last completely dependent on someone?

Posted on Jan 21st, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 21, 2009:

Having to deal with chronic pain places one in very dependent positions. I am very independednt by nature, not wanting to bother or impose. Yet, I have discovered that it is our inter-connectedness that makes us the best of who we were created to be. We were never meant to be Lone Rangers; even the Lone Ranger had Tonto and the horses. It is a process and I am on the journey.

What was your favorite childhood song or lullaby?

Posted on Jan 25th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn

What is the most difficult thing about your spiritual path?

Posted on Jan 27th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 27, 2009:

The spiritual path is not that difficult. The challenge is being on the path with other people who haven't come to the awareness of their own spiritual beingness. They don't come to this awareness until crisis or tragedy strikes.

What was the last blessing in disguise you received?

Posted on Jan 28th, 2009 by Carolyn : Mystic Empath Carolyn
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 28, 2009:

I believe everything holds a blessing in our lives. Especially those times of crisis and harship when it is difficult to see how anything good can come from this. That is where the true blessings lie. These are the moments when we are matured and our growth happens. These are the moments when the blessings really manifest. Though sometimes we are so caught up in the pain of the moment, that we fail to see the blessings. This is the moment of awareness.
