When were you last completely dependent on someone?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 21, 2009:
Having to deal with chronic pain places one in very dependent positions. I am very independednt by nature, not wanting to bother or impose. Yet, I have discovered that it is our inter-connectedness that makes us the best of who we were created to be. We were never meant to be Lone Rangers; even the Lone Ranger had Tonto and the horses. It is a process and I am on the journey.

You are right. Connection is important; it strengthens the individual and the whole also. And when you are in a disabled or disadvantaged position, you really do need to know that you can lean and be held up! Let’s hope that connection will become the norm [again] soon!
Best rgds to you,
Sherri
That’s a lesson I had trouble with, but learned at long last. It’s okay to ask for help when you can’t do it yourself! It’s okay to be weak, when you have no choice. And you share the benefit when you allow someone else to hold out a helping hand. Let them be the hero, the helper - they deserve to feel good by helping!
Thanks Sherri and Hillora! It is a difficult lesson but a very valuable one and one I am glad I learned in time. You both are right on the mark! And Sherri, let’s pray it does become the norn!
Be blessed,
C.
I’ll hold that intention of “we all need one another”; lend a helping hand; we are in this together. Connection, please. Blessings to u dear carolyn.
Kimmergy,
I’m holding with you! Thank you for your loving energy!
Be blessed,
C.
Indeed, we all need one another!
